Berberine for PCOS symptoms and Body Composition Management
Study Design: A randomized, controlled study investigating the effects of Berberine supplementation for 90 days in 130 women with PCOS and fertility issues.
Findings**:
- 70% resumed regular menstruation in the Berberine group vs. 16% in the control.
- Normalized ovary anatomy in over 60% of the Berberine group vs. 13% control.
- Acne improvement in 50% of the Berberine group vs. 16% control.

Inositol and Insulin
Study Design: A meta-analysis of nine randomized controlled trials (RCTs) evaluating the effects of Myo-inositol (MI) alone or combined with D-chiro-inositol (DCI) on endocrine and metabolic abnormalities in women with PCOS.
Findings**
- Taking myo-inositol (MI) significantly lowered fasting insulin levels and improved insulin sensitivity.
- Trend toward reduced testosterone levels
- Using MI for at least 24 weeks significantly increased levels of a protein called SHBG, which helps regulate hormone balance.
- MI improved metabolism and reduced symptoms of excess male hormones (like acne or hair growth) in women with PCOS.
