NAC and GAG Layer Support
Study Design: This study investigated how N-acetylcysteine (NAC), alone and in combination with low doses of stem cells, could improve bladder function and repair GAG layer damage in interstitial cystitis (IC).
Findings**:
- NAC alone significantly improved bladder function, increasing the time between urination, increasing urine volume, and reducing residual urine.
- NAC helped repair bladder tissue layer by reducing inflammation, cell damage, and promoting tissue healing.

Ashwagandha and Stress Management
Study Design: This 60-day randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study evaluated the stress-relieving effects of ashwagandha extract in 60 healthy adults with self-reported high stress.

Quercetin: Anti-Inflammatory

- QU-ME significantly reduced the number of immune cells (eosinophils) in the lung fluid, and this effect was stronger with higher doses.
- QU-ME lowered the levels of certain immune proteins (IL-5 and IL-4) that play a role in inflammation.
- QU-ME blocked the activation of a protein (NF-κB) and the expression of a molecule (P-selectin) involved in inflammation and cell movement.
