For far too long, women’s health has been underfunded, under-researched, and, frankly, overlooked. Despite making up half the population, women still face significant disparities in healthcare funding, research, and treatment options.
This International Women’s Day, we’re taking action.
At Wellex®, we exist to empower women on their wellness journey by offering real solutions to real health concerns, especially those that have been ignored for far too long.
But this isn’t just about our products, it’s about our passion for moving the needle in women’s healthcare.
We are committed to being a pillar of support, a trusted resource, and a platform for women to advocate for themselves, take charge of their health, and demand the care they deserve.
We are so glad to have you here with us.

The Gender Gap in Medical Research
These statistics are going to blow your mind. Women’s health conditions make up a significant portion of the global disease burden, yet research funding does not reflect this reality.
Consider this:
- Only 1% of healthcare research funding in the U.S. goes toward female-specific conditions beyond cancer and reproductive health.
- Women are twice as likely as men to experience chronic pain, yet most pain research has historically been conducted on men.
- It took nearly 30 years for researchers to realize that heart disease presents differently in women than in men, resulting in thousands of misdiagnosed heart attacks in women annually.
- Conditions like endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), interstitial cystitis, and adenomyosis impact millions of women worldwide, yet they receive a fraction of the research dollars and medical attention they deserve.

Where Wellex Comes in
Wellex® started by addressing one of the most underfunded and misunderstood areas of women’s health: cervical health and HPV.
HPV is the most common sexually transmitted infection globally, yet for decades, research into its long-term effects and potential solutions was minimal.
We knew women deserved better, so we set out to change that.
Now, we’ve expanded our mission.
We’re tackling some of the most prevalent yet neglected health concerns affecting women, conditions related to the ovaries, bladder, and endometrial health.
These are conditions that cause pain, disrupt daily life, impact fertility, and, in most cases, significantly impact quality of life. Yet, they continue to be dismissed, misdiagnosed, or brushed off as “normal” parts of being a woman.
We refuse to accept that.
Beyond Products: Supporting Research and Innovation
Our commitment to women’s health goes beyond offering solutions, we actively support clinical research to push the boundaries of what’s possible.
We believe that real change happens when we accelerate action not just in conversation but in research, innovation, and systemic change.
We collaborate with scientists, practitioners, and industry leaders to fund and advocate for the studies that will shape the future of women’s healthcare, and we are proudly women-owned.
It’s Time to Accelerate Action
The theme of #AccelerateAction isn’t just a slogan, it’s a call to arms.
Women’s health should no longer be an afterthought. It’s time to demand better research, better funding, and better solutions for women everywhere.
This International Women’s Day, we invite you to join us in advocating for a future where no woman has to suffer in silence, where every health concern is met with urgency, and where true equality in healthcare becomes a reality.
At Wellex®, we’re not just waiting for that future, we’re building it.
